CP B80 AND PET
Polyethylene terephthalate is a thermoplastic polymer resin from pet polyester family resins. Pet raw material is relatively high density. Pet is available in either amorphous or semi-crystalline thermoplastic form.
Polyethylene terephthalate is produced by polycondensation method. PET consists of polymerized units of monomer ethylene terephthalate with repeating (C10H8O4) units.
The most important advantage of use is that it is completely recyclable. Polymer chains are restored. It becomes suitable for subsequent uses.
It can be semi-solid or solid depending on its thickness. It is very light. It acts as a strong gas and moisture barrier. It is tough and impact resistant.
Various types of PET are used as x-ray films, photographic films, magnetic recording films, many packaging materials, in the textile industry, in the food industry, especially in beverage and oil bottles.
