Polypropylene, also known as PP in short, is a molecule formed by the polymerization of propylene monomers. This raw material is used in the production of many commercial products due to its ease of shaping and many different advantages.
Unlike other polymers in random copolymer, homo ethylene ratio is below 4%. It is obtained from the simultaneous polymerization of propylene and ethylene. PP random copolymer (PPRC) is a type of polypropylene whose main chain structure has been modified with a different monomer molecule.
If a polymer consists of the repetition of a single monomer unit, it is called a homopolymer. Homopolymer polypropylene, or PP homo for short, is the polymer obtained by polymerization of propylene only, that is, the repeating unit in the molecular chain is only propylene. It is commonly known by the trade name “moblen”.
